James H. Clark, a Vice President with Black & Veatch, will present their findings on the worst hurricane disaster in decades. Hurricane Katrina, which struck the U.S. Gulf states in late August, 2005, devastated wastewater utilities that provide essential services to residential and commercial interests. The long-term effect on these utilities is of great concern to local, state, and U.S. officials.

This presentation will describe a study prepared for the Water Environment Federation which documented damage caused by Hurricane Katrina to wastewater facilities in the Gulf region and made recommendations for governments and utilities to help recovery.
